Bio - A Brief History Of Me.....
Born in the Bronx, NY in 1965, I am the son of a German-Irish New Yorkers. Until age 13, we lived in New York and northern New Jersey before my father's United Nations job took us to Vienna, Austria. There, I attended the Vienna International School, where I gained a tremendous education in cultural diversity and developed a passion for Geography and languages. I earned an International Baccalaureate Degree while captaining the basketball, cross-country and track teams, totaling 11 varsity letters.
I returned to the US in 1983 to attend college, spending one year at Bryant College in Rhode Island before transferring to The George Washington University. At GW, I majored in Geography with a minor in Economics and thoroughly enjoyed the perks of living in the nation's capitol. Upon graduation, I worked in DC for a while before returning to Europe to explore job opportunities there. I ended up living and working in Salzburg for six years - what a great city, with hiking and skiing right at my doorstep.
In 1997, we moved back to the US, having been away from baseball and apple pie for too long and need a reprieve from harsh Austrian winters. Southern California was the perfect for that, and we enjoyed seven years without winter but with far too much traffic !!
2004 brought us to the Seattle area and we have settled into the NW lifestyle with outdoors activites galore, vibrant coffee-house and and market cultures and great culture and arts.
